Autumn/Winter 2025-2026 Ready-to-Wear Collection

For this project, the prompt was to make a nine-to-eleven-look Ready-to-Wear collection for the Autumn/Winter 2025/2026 season. My collection had thirteen looks and involved heavy pleating and plissés inspired by the natural ridges found in leaves with a classic winter color palette.

Dragon Dress

The prompt for this project was to make a wearable art piece based on either an animal, personality trait, or role model. I chose to do all three: dragons, ferocity, and my favorite book character, Aelin Galathynius. I made a backless mermaid gown from black crushed velvet with a gold dragon made from gold leather and hand-sewn paillettes. I draped, patterned, and sewed the whole garment, including hand-stitching and embroidering the dragon.

Designer Print Project

This project was to design ten original prints and a six-look collection utilizing at least 60% of them. I combined Rococo and Neoclassical aesthetics to create a women's ready-to-wear collection for Spring/Summer 2025.

Final Swatch Collection

This project was to hand-make fifteen original swatches and a six-look collection utilizing at least 80% of them. My collection was based on a freshwater biome, incorporating the flora and fauna found in lakes, rivers, and ponds. The techniques I used included beading, embroidery, marble dyeing, ice dyeing, and ombre dyeing.

Blushwing for Blumarine

For my Introduction to Fashion Sketching Final Project, I created a six-look collection for the brand Blumarine for the Spring/Summer 2026 season. I used marker, watercolor, and micron pen to render my looks, and my fabrics included chiffon, georgette, and organza.

History of Fashion

Met Gala

This history project was to research the 2025 Met Gala and create three looks. Rather than making one three-look collection, I chose three celebrities to dress with original designs: Zendaya, Halle Bailey, and Lupita Nyong'o.

Romantic Era Gown

This project was to make moodboards for three assigned historical eras of fashion and a garment for one of them. Mine were the Romantic Era, Roaring 20's, and 1970's Punk. I chose to make a modern rendition of a Romantic Era-inspired ball gown using polyester mikado.

Style Line Jacket

For this project, we were to drape, pattern, and make a creative style line jacket. This jacket has ten interfaced, fully boned corset panels on the waist, a pleated collar, and lace peeking out at the neckline, closed by a column of hooks and eyes at center front. The fabric choices were cotton twill for the shell and polyester satin for the lining and collar.

Runway Recreation - Carolina Herrera

This project was to recreate an assigned runway look using draping and patternmaking techniques. I used a polyester mikado to recreate a Carolina Herrera maxi dress.

Avant Garde Abstract Expressionism

For this project, we were to create avant-garde garments inspired by Abstract Expressionist paintings of our choosing. My painting was Carnivale II by Norman Lewis. This garment features a vinyl bubble headpiece, fleece cape, tube dress, and vinyl circle, all covered with colored paper tabs that emulate the painting.
